Ben Affleck Talks Co-Parenting with Jennifer Garner: She Has 'Set Such a Good Example and a Lead That I Follow'
"She's just a fabulous person," said Affleck of his ex Jennifer Garner
After announcing their plans to divorce in June, the former couple have only had positive things to say about each other, and on Friday, Affleck, 43, continued to praise Garner while appearing on CBS This Morning.
“I am a giant fan of Jennifer,” he said. “She’s just a fabulous person. She’s just a wonderful person. She’s a great mother. She’s a real talent.”
While it’s been a difficult time for the former couple, Affleck said they are moving forward by simply focusing on what they’ve vowed to do from the start: putting their children Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4, first.
“Life doesn’t always turn out exactly the way you want,” said the Batman v Superman star. “We’re doing our very best and we’re putting our kids first and that’s how we’re focusing on our day to day lives and we don’t know what the future’s going to hold, but each step that we take is one where we prioritize our children and everything else comes seconds.”

And according to Affleck, there’s no one better at navigating just how to put up a united front than Garner.
“She’s just so good at doing that and has set such a good example and a lead that I follow,” he said. “She’s somebody that I admire and respect and remain excellent friends with.”
