Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner celebrated the Fourth of July as a family.

The former couple put on their red, white and blues on Tuesday to take their three children to a Los Angeles Fourth of July parade.

Affleck and Garner were seen sitting next to each other and chatting happily as their kids — Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 — enjoyed the celebration.

Before the holiday, the family also took a trip to the Bahamas together.

Both Affleck, 44, and Garner, 45, have made cooperative co-parenting a priority since they separated in 2015 and officially filed for divorce this past April.

“They are working hard to continue to build a world that is right for their children,” a source previously told PEOPLE. “They spend quite a bit of time on this. They continue to co-parent and respect each other. I think some would be surprised to see how close their relationship remains.”
