The 45-year-old actor was spotted grabbing coffee with Shookus, 37, in Los Angeles. Shookus was on the West Coast during a break from Saturday Night Live, where she works as a producer. Affleck was back in town after a whirlwind press tour for his latest film, Justice League, which hit theaters on Nov. 17. During his many press appearances, Affleck addressed the allegations of sexual misconduct that are sweeping Hollywood — including a claim from former TRL host Hilarie Burton that he had groped her during an appearance in 2003. While Affleck apologized for the incident and said he “acted inappropriately” when Burton tweeted about it back in October, he told Stephen Colbert during an appearance on The Late Show that he didn’t remember consciously groping Burton. “What I was accused of by a woman was touching her breast while I gave her a hug. I don’t remember it but I absolutely apologize for it,” Affleck said. “I certainly don’t think she’s lying or making it up. It’s just the kind of thing we have to — as men, I think, as we become more aware of this — be really, really mindful of our behavior and hold ourselves accountable. And say, ‘If I was ever part of the problem, I want to change and be part of the solution.’ ” RELATED VIDEO: Inside Ben Affleck’s Battle with Addiction — and How Jennifer Garner Has Helped Him During an appearance onToday, Affleck also responded to a claim from former costar Rose McGowan who said the actor knew that she had been allegedly sexually assaulted by producer Harvey Weinstein, despite saying that he was unaware of the now disgraced producer’s allegedly predatory behavior. (Weinstein has denied all claims of non-consensual sex.) “I don’t really want to get into other people’s individual stories because I feel like those are their stories and they are entitled to tell as much or as little of those as they want,” he said. “I believe Rose, I support her, I really like and admire her tenacity and wish her the best.“
