No one hugs like Gaston!

It turns out that the hunky egotist – as played by Welsh actor Luke Evans in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast – is not only especially good at expectorating – he flashes a pretty impressive smile, too.

Josh Gad, who portrays Gaston’s goofy sidekick LeFou in the upcoming film, out in 2017, posted an Instagram photo of the onscreen odd couple as they finished up the shoot. He captioned the snowy picture, “That’s a wrap! Will miss the cast of #beautyandthebeast especially my brilliant Gaston #LukeEvans.”

Under the direction of Bill Condon, the magical cast that is spinning this tale includes Emma Watson (the titular beauty Belle), Dan Stevens (the misunderstood love interest Beast), Ian McKellen (the straitlaced clock Cogsworth), Emma Thompson (the matronly teacup Mrs. Potts), Ewan McGregor (the dazzling candelabra Lumiere), Kevin Kline (Belle’s bumbling father Maurice), Audra McDonald (the singing wardrobe Garderobe), Stanley Tucci (the crazed grand piano Cadenza), and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (the alluring feather duster Plumette).

Gad, who last delighted Disney audiences as the voice of Frozen‘s Olaf, has kept fans in the loop throughout the Beauty and the Beast shoot. He uploaded a photo of the cast’s whimsical chairs, a close-up with McDonald, a picture with McKellen and a group snapshot.
