The Dark Knight is officially making an appearance in Suicide Squad – but is that Ben Affleck behind the mask?

Photos surfaced Thursday from the set of David Ayer’s highly anticipated comic book flick that show a mysteriously dimple-chinned Batman hitching a ride on the Joker’s pink sports car. The shot confirms that, at the very least, the Caped Crusader will play a role in the film.

Jared Leto (starring as the green-haired super villain) appears behind the wheel in the photo, with his sidekick, Harley Quinn (played by Margot Robbie), riding shotgun.

While there’s still a chance this Suicide Squad Batman is the same brooding hero from Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman, the Bat in this photo is unfortunately not Affleck.

PEOPLE has confirmed that Affleck is currently in Los Angeles, and not in Toronto where Suicide Squad is filming.

But that doesn’t prove the 42-year-old actor won’t be making a cameo – after all, we could be looking at a stunt-bat.

Plus, this mystery Batman’s suit bares a striking resemblance to Affleck’s costume in Batman v Superman.

Warner Bros. has been silent on the speculation so far, but with DC Comics (which owns the rights to Batman and the Suicide Squad) looking to consolidate its movie universe – à la Marvel – there’s a good chance we’ll be getting two Batfleck appearances in 2016.

The Suicide Squad hits theaters Aug. 5, 2016.
