Great Scott that was funny!

Amidst all the well-deserved love Back to the Future is getting today, the guys over at Screen Junkies are poking fun at some of the franchise’s goofier moments.

In their always hilarious Honest Trailer series, Screen Junkies points out the film’s funniest flaws in a mock teaser that comes just in time for Oct. 21, 2015 – the date Marty McFly travels to in Back to the Future Part II.

The three film’s repetitive plot structure comes under fire right off the bat, as the narrator jokes that in each film the writers have Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) “travel to the past, beat up the bully, fix the future and leave open the possibility for a sequel.” To drive home the point, they even clip together lines that are repeated word for word in each film.

Dr. Emmet Brown (Christopher Lloyd) is introduced in the trailer as, “An old man who lives alone and who’s only friend is a teenage boy.” The narrator also notes Doc’s habit for using animals as test dummies in dangerous experiments – referencing multiple points in the film that the professor’s dogs are used to test out the Delorean.

The ultimate jab comes when the film is described as “the creepiest blockbuster ever” for its story about “Marty planning to molest his mom so his dad can have sex with her, except his mom is totally into it.”

Never thought about it that way before, did you?
