Tickets for the latest Marvel epic may be the hottest commodity with wait times, on sites like Fandango and AMC, that lasted over an hour on Tuesday when they went on sale. Now, desperate fans are resorting to bidding wars for tickets to see the film on eBay. One bid in New York City has reached $9,199 for two tickets, while a second bid at the same AMC theater has reached just under $5,000. A bid for two AMC dine-in tickets in Essex, New Jersey has a starting bid of $2,500 — but die-hard fans with deep pockets can skip the auction for a mere $15,000. Avengers: Endgame is arguably the most anticipated film of 2019 with movie ticket services such as Fandango, AMC Theaters and Atom Tickets crashing due to a high volume of fans searching for seats. Avengers: Endgame Will Be ‘Bigger’ Than Infinity War, Teases Black Panther Star Winston Duke On Tuesday, it took just six hours for the Marvel film to break Fandango’s presale ticket records, surpassing three Star Wars films (The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and Rogue One) and 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, which came in fifth. Marvel Black Panther star Winston Duke teased the film would be “bigger” than last year’s blockbuster hit Infinity War. “Honestly, what I can tell you is that it’s bigger than Infinity War … It’s going to be a lot of fun, going to be crazy, and they have a way of still topping themselves when you feel like they might have jumped the shark,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “They still have a way of making it new.” Get Your Popcorn Ready!
