If it was up to Anna Kendrick, the Pitch Perfect movies would never end.
The actress, 32, sat down with PEOPLE’s editor-in-chief Jess Cagle for the latest edition of The Jess Cagle Interview (streaming now on People TV) to discuss Pitch Perfect 3, saying she’s open to the possibility of more films.
“If it were up to me we would hang out all the time,” says Kendrick.
But Kendrick says she’s also come to terms with Pitch Perfect 3 being the last time she sings alongside the Barden Bellas.
“It certainly does feel like it’s the finale,” she says. “We are all at peace with the idea that it would make sense if this was the last one.”
The film, which has been dubbed the “Farewell tour” in previews, reunites the Bellas after they’ve graduated college. The acapella-singing friends come together to perform in an overseas tour.
Looking back on her experience with the franchise, Kendrick says she feels lucky to have worked with so many talented women.
“I didn’t appreciate it fully until the third movie,” she says. “Being in a movie with 10 really unique and diverse women…I kind of looked around and was really like, ‘Oh, this might not ever happen again. ‘”
Pitch Perfect 3 hits theaters Dec. 22.
