Now here’s a change of pace for America’s Sweetheart.

Anna Kendrick admitted on Jenny McCarthy‘s Dirty, Sexy, Funny show on SiriusXM Tuesday that playing a bawdy, potty-mouthed character for her upcoming film Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates leaked into her real-life personality.

When Mike and Dave Stangle, two brothers who inspired the movie by actually posting an ad on Craigslist to snag wedding dates, stopped by the set, Kendrick, 30, was blown away by their good looks. Instead of playing it cool, the actress did something totally out of her element.

“Across a crowded lobby I was like, ‘Get your d—- out!'” she recalled. “Because they are very tall, very attractive, and we were so deep into filming the movie that my character had taken over, and it’s a very raunchy, fun comedy, and I was like, ‘I don’t know what just happened to me. I’m not really the person who yells profanity across a hotel lobby, but, yeah, that just happened.’ ”

“You got method, that’s all,” McCarthy responded.

“Yeah, that’s all,” Kendrick quipped. “I’m very Daniel Day-Lewis.”

When recounting the story on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Kendrick also admitted that working on the film opened her eyes to a whole new section of Craigslist.

Although she uses the website to buy and sell furniture, Kendrick told the host that a friend introduced her to the male seeking male casual encounters listings.

“You can just lose yourself in that section of Craigslist,” she joked.

Kendrick and her friend were curious, too, if the ads worked, so they posted a photo of a male friend’s bum and gave a time and place to meet for a hook up.

The schemers walked around the neighborhood to see if anyone would come, and something unexpected happened.

“Eventually, two guys showed up and they were both like, ‘You, yeah?’ And they went off together!” Kendrick said. “So we created a romance connection.”

Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates hits theaters July 8.
