Arrivederci, Italy! Anna Faris and Michael Barrett Wrap Up Their Romantic Venetian Vacation
Anna Faris and Michael Barrett were spotted leaving their Venice hotel on Tuesday
The Mom actress, 40, and cinematographer Michael Barrett, 47, were spotted leaving their hotel in Venice, Italy on Thursday after enjoying a romantic vacation there this week. The duo were seen flying out of Los Angeles’ LAX airport arm-in-arm last weekend.
Last week, Faris and Barrett enjoyed a bundled-up ride on a water taxi as they took in the views of the romantic city. The cinematographer even sweetly wrapped his arm around the actress during the ride. The two have been spending time together since September after working on the new film Overboard. They were first spotted together early that month.
“Anna has been hanging out with Michael for weeks,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “They were hanging out occasionally in September, but started seeing each other more frequently recently.”
The cinematographer is the first man Faris has been publicly seen with since splitting from Chris Pratt in August after eight years of marriage. Faris and Barrett were seen on several dinner dates in October, stepping out twice in the span of two days at Modo Mio, an upscale Italian restaurant in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades.
Faris opened up about her separation from Pratt to PEOPLE in October, saying, “We’ll always have each other and be incredible friends.”
“There is still so much laughter in our lives together, and he is so proud of me, still,” she added at the time. “We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time. And I think I crack him up — unless he’s a really good actor and great at faking laughter.”
The actress also opened up about the public reaction to their split, which lamented their breakup.
“It’s understandable that people seemed so invested in our happiness together,” Faris said. “All I can say about that is, it’s all true, that we truly adore each other, and we love each other, I think it still comes through.”
