"I want it to feel like you are walking into Romeo and Juliet's beautiful fantasy," Anna Camp tells PEOPLE
“He has a very large family, so the wedding is definitely not going to small!” Camp, 33, tells PEOPLE. “It’s going to be a big celebration, which is awesome.”
The Pitch Perfect stars will have a large wedding party, too – which may include some familiar faces.
“We’re going to have seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen,” says Camp. “Some [of our Pitch Perfect costars] might even be in the wedding! It was an important time in our lives, and that movie hit so many people on such a positive level, and we became really good friends with the cast.”
The actors – who have been dating since 2013 and got engaged over the New Year holiday weekend – are planning for an outdoor California wedding in the fall that will feature the colors of a sunset in the décor.

“We’re thinking different shades of pinks and peach, and also a lot of ivory and greenery,” says Camp. “I want the colors to feel very nature-friendly, but very vibrant and lively. It’s fresh and also romantic. I want it to feel like you are walking into Romeo and Juliet’s beautiful fantasy.”
Camp is choosing a theme for her wedding with the help of her wedding planner Tessa Brand and Wedding Paper Divas, who created three different options for her invitations and table settings – Hollywood glam, rustic chic and elegant romance.
“Anna is leaning towards elegant romance, with the blush and pink and peaches, and this really delicate, romantic feel,” Wedding Paper Divas style and trend expert, Amber Harrison tells PEOPLE. “This is the ultimate. Think drippy candles, loose wavy curls and long flowing dresses.”
The idea of romance is reflected in the outdoor venue as well.
“We were going for the romantic, whimsical thing, so we definitely wanted to find something outdoors that had striking beauty,” says Brand. “Anna and Skylar very much go on feeling, so I knew they would know immediately when it was the right place, and that’s what happened.”
“It was so, so, so stunning,” Camp says of their venue. “We both looked at each other like, ‘You like this?’ ‘I love this!’ It was great.”
Astin, 28, has been just as involved in the wedding planning as his bride-to-be.
“We do everything together,” says Camp. “It’s really sweet.”
One thing they both want to ensure is that their wedding has a relaxed feel.
“We wanted to make sure that it’s never stuffy, it never feels formal, it feels very inviting,” says Camp.

The menu will incorporate personal touches influenced by their families and their love story.
“It’s two families coming together, so to have the menu [reflect that] is very important,” says Camp. “I’m from South Carolina, so I want to have a really good seafood dish, something from New York that represents him, something from Hawaii, where we got engaged, that represents that.”
And of course, music will play a prominent role as well.
“We both are into music, we both do sing, so we want to have a DJ and live music for sure,” says Camp. “We’re going to have a variety of musical things going on.”
Will that include any a cappella singing?
“At the reception, who knows?” teases Camp. “I’m not going to say no to that. You never know!”
