One of the uncredited stars of the upcoming period piece is a nearly fifty-year-old French sports car, a Citroen DS Chapon convertible, that she and her husband, Brad Pitt, drive in the film.
The car, a rare customized 1967 model with silver finish and Cartier red leather seats, made such an impact on the couple, they recently rented it again for their private use during a two-week stay at Miraval in June.
“Angelina fell in love with the car,” owner Fabrice Leroy tells PEOPLE, saying he has turned down a number of hopeful buyers.
Leroy rents luxury cars in one of the world’s most glamorous locations, giving vintage car lovers a chance to drive along the stunning French Riviera or Italian Riviera in style.
Starting at $200 per day, renters can get behind the wheel of famous rides like the two-seater Nicole Kidman drove in Grace of Monaco, or one of the classic cars that appeared in Woody Allen’s Magic in the Moonlight. There’s also a Jaguar Type-E favored by Jeremy Irons available, and the nifty two-seater Mercedes 250 SL that Emma Watson recently drove during a private two-week vacation in Avignon.
You can see the Pitts driving the silver Citroen when By the Sea hits theaters on Nov. 13.
