"There's not a friendly bone in my body," Gordon Schumer tells Amy Schumer
Amy Schumer knows where she gets her personality from.
Schumer might have had a star-studded Thanksgiving carving turkey with the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Aziz Ansari, but the comedian, 34, wrapped up the holiday weekend with those who matter most: family.
Schumer spent some quality time with her father, Gordon Schumer, on Sunday, visiting him at the assisted-living facility he resides in due to his diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
And while the day was certainly full of laughs, it was also full of revelations about one major similarity she has with her father.
Schumer shared a video of her visit with her dad on Instagram, laughing about their “bad attitudes.”
“I know you’re not friendly, I see you around here,” she tells her father in the video.
“There’s not a friendly bone in my body,” Gordon laughs in response.
In the second video, Schumer says that she’s inherited her father’s unfavorable disposition.
“You’re not friendly and now I’m not friendly and it’s all your fault,” she says.
And Gordon can’t seem to stop laughing, mimicking Schumer, saying, “My daddy has no friendly bones.”
But while he might not have any “friendly bones,” he certainly appears to have some “proud father” bones.
In the video, Gordon’s collection of Amy Schumer memorabilia is on full display, from a framed article about his daughter to a sticker and glass mug with the Inside Amy Schumer TV logo on it.
Schumer even posted an Instagram picture of Gordon wearing a leather jacket – a gift from Amber Rose to the comedian – with “Schumer” spelled out in studs on the back.
“Bout that life. Thank you @amberrose my dad is rockin it today,” she captioned the picture.
But after visiting her father, Schumer wasn’t done making her family rounds. She also stopped by for a Thanksgiving leftover meal with her mom, Sandra.
Schumer snapped a picture of the two at the dinner table, eating what looks to be turkey and biscuits.
“I came out of her,” she captioned the shot.
Talk about Thanksgiving goals!
