Apparently Amy Schumer has heard that life in plastic is fantastic.

The actress is in early talks to portray Barbie in Columbia Pictures’ live-action comedy.

In the film, Barbie gets kicked out of Barbieland for not being perfect enough and lands in a real world adventure.

The movie will come with a PG rating and is currently slated to premiere in summer 2018.

Amy Pascal, Laurie MacDonald and Walter F. Parkes are signed on to produce, with the search for a director ongoing.

Comedian Schumer, 35, most recently hit the big screen as the lead character in 2015’s Trainwreck. She’s known for toeing the line with raunchy humor in her stand-up appearances, as well as on her Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer.

While numerous animated Barbie films have been released (and the character was recently featured in the Toy Story franchise), this will be the first live-action movie surrounding the iconic blond toy.
