"I am going to go with the bathtub scene," Adams told reporters of her most memorable moment at a press conference in Los Angeles on Friday.
Amy Adams had a blast reprising her role as Lois Lane in Batman v Superman, but there’s one scene in particular that she will never forget.
“I am going to go with the bathtub scene,” Adams told reporters of her most memorable moment at a press conference in Los Angeles on Friday.
The scene was briefly teased in one the trailers for the superhero flick, and shows Adams soaking in a bubble bath as Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent lowers himself into the tub.
“Trying to protect my modesty while this demigod stood above me. I had this low self-esteem for two weeks after that,” she joked. “It’s true. I was like, ‘I am hideous.’ ”
Despite being in a relationship with an extraterrestrial, Adams told Parade on Friday that Lois’s relationship with Supes is just like any other Earth couple.
“Their issues are very much about communication – being able to talk to the other person and trusting that what they say is taken at face value,” she told the magazine.
“It’s like with my husband [actor Darren Le Gallo], I’d be like, ‘Are you going to be here when I’m 80?’ And you have to trust that when they say yes they mean it. That’s hard for any couple.”
Adams even conjured up the idyllic home life for the comic book couple when the world isn’t in need of saving. “I think he’s the better cook … But they’re the kind of couple who aren’t that exciting,” she imagined.
“They probably just chill out at home. I think Lois likes watching news and tries to rope him into watching The Bachelor. But Superman’s not interested – he’s too busy making dinner. And I imagine he gives her foot rubs.”
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25.
