Gwyneth Paltrow, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Vince Vaughn and Marcus Mumford flock to the rural destination.
When you think of a sleeping in a tent, luxury is probably the last thing on your mind. But at Montana’s Ranch at Rock Creek, guests and Hollywood celebs get the best of both worlds at this lavish Western retreat.
Situated on 6,6000 acres in Philipsburg, Montanta, approximately 90 minutes from Missoula, the red carpet treatment starts as soon as you step off the plane. Guests are picked up at the airport and whisked away to the property where they check into one of the 29 unique accommodations including Granite Lodge suites, a converted historic barn, luxury homes and glamping tents.
But these are no ordinary glamping tents. Sweet Grass, one of the most popular to stay in is a charming three room canvas cabin that boasts a king size bed, claw foot bath tub and a gas burning stove in each suite. Guests are also all provided with a bicycle to explore the sprawling property at their leisure.
With privacy a top priority at the ranch it’s no wonder celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Vince Vaughn and Marcus Mumford flock to the rural destination. Kate Bosworth even married her husband, writer director and Montana native Michael Polish on the property in 2013.
Horseback riding, fly fishing, skeet shooting, hiking, and archery are among the daily activities available and the ranch outfits guests with gear for each including authentic cowboy boots and hats. For a more peaceful experience, signature treatments like massages and facials are available at the spa.
When it comes to meals, the ranch doesn’t skimp on fine dining. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared fresh daily with locally sourced organic ingridients and tailored to dietary restrictions.
Social hour starts at 5P.M. each night in the Great Room, but don’t expect bland bar snacks and pour-it-yourself wine. Nearly every guest at the Ranch is in attendance to kick off the evening with custom craft cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. After dinner, the saloon offers karokee, bowling and fire pits under the big sky.
It may not be beaches and umbrella drinks, but the Ranch at Rock Creek is one vacation destination guests will never forget!
