WATCH: Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent Get Real About Fatherhood in New TLC Show: 'Poppy Cracked Both of Us Open'

Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent‘s new TLC show promises inspiring room makeovers, emotional reveals and people swinging sledge hammers who probably shouldn’t. But Nate & Jeremiah By Design is far from your average home renovation show thanks to three magical words: Poppy Brent Berkus.

In the series, premiering Saturday night, the famous designer couple invite the show’s cameras into their Los Angeles home and let viewers fawn over their adorable, tape-measure-wielding two year old.

In this exclusive clip, Berkus, 45, and Brent, 32, goof around with their little girl and share some real talk about fatherhood. “I never thought I would have kids. I never thought that I’d be married. I never thought that I’d have this story,” says Brent. “I think Poppy cracked both of us open in a way I don’t think either of us expected.”

Check out the video above for more, including a peek at the family’s gorgeous new house and the activity that has Berkus admitting, “I hate this so much, I can’t even tell you.”

Nate & Jeremiah By Design premieres Saturday April 8, at 9/8C on TLC.
