See How Real Housewives' Vicki Gunvalson Brought the Best of the OC into Her Guest Room Makeover
The OG of the OC pays homage to Southern California in this sunny space
The OG of the OC, Vicki Gunvalson, arms herself with one simple decorating mantra: Keep it “clutter-free and sophisticated.”
When the Real Housewives of Orange County star isn’t “whooping it up,” with her cast mates, she keeps herself busy with family, work and updating her California home. With just one final guest room that needed a face lift, she decided to get to work creating a space that was bright, inviting, and, of course, incredibly organized.
“It was Briana’s old room and was very traditional,” Gunvalson tells PEOPLE of the space that once belonged to her daughter. “[It] needed to be updated for guests.”
To give it a pop of personality, the reality queen teamed up with Angelica Terrazas of décor brand Urban Home, and together they created a retreat that was homey, but still captured Gunvalson’s bold personality.
“I wanted to pay a little homage to her 11 years [on RHOC] with pops of orange throughout her guest room,” Terrazas says. “The rest of her home doesn’t showcase very many bright colors so I thought we’d have a little fun here.”

Gunvalson stocks her guest room with a few necessities including, “fresh flowers, fresh towels and always fresh water bottles.” And for the finishing touch she sits, “a piece of chocolate bedside,” for an added dose of hotel-like hospitality.
As for an ideal guest, the 54-year-old says there’s one East Coast housewife she’d love to host at Hotel Gunvalson: “Ramona Singer from RHONYC!”
