What’s cooking in Karen Huger’s kitchen? An “infamous” collection of out-of-date appliances that the Real Housewives of Potomac star is not ashamed to show off.

“A lot of you had a lot of opinions about it,” Huger says, referencing the backlash she received for the space during the Bravo show’s season 1 reunion. “But this is where I actually raised my family.”

With Huger’s proud claim that she can afford a “$10,000-a-month mortgage,” it’s easy to see why some might be surprised at the decades-old design and aging white appliances. But the mom of two and her husband, Raymond, don’t seem to mind.

“Now that I’m an empty nester I no longer cook here. However it’s still one of my favorite gathering places for Raymond and I for coffee in the morning,” she insists. “We just absolutely adore this room and, again, I refuse to renovate but thank you for your suggestions.”

Huger’s home is a point of contention on the upcoming season of RHOP. In an exclusive first look at the show’s second run, the other women are buzzing about Huger renting “a house in the middle of the night,” and no longer residing in the affluent Washington D.C. suburb. But until the speculation is addressed, Huger is calling this grandiose spot home.
