Drew Scott and Fiancee Linda Phan Taste Wedding Cakes: 'We Don't Want Anything Predictable'

Drew Scott and Linda Phan’s wedding plans have never tasted so sweet!

The HGTV star and his fiancée have been busy planningon their Italian nuptials, slated for May 2018. Although they’ve already set the late night menu, there’s one very important detail they have yet to commit to: the cake.

The couple, joined by Drew’s twin brother Jonathan and his longtime girlfriend Jacinta Kuznetsov, move to check that to-do off their list on tonight’s episode of Property Brothers at Home: Drew’s Honeymoon House.

“We don’t want anything predictable,” Drew says before the group arrives to Magnolia Bakery in their new home base of Los Angeles.

The PB & J cake is a favorite, although all agree it doesn’t quite fit their vision. The Classic Vanilla flavor, while in tune with the wedding theme, doesn’t meet their criteria either.

“This one seems almost too traditional for you guys,” Kuznetsov says. Linda agrees adding, “I don’t like traditional.”

The Carrot Cake and the Hummingbird — a banana cake with pineapple and cream cheese frosting — have the votes split down the middle. Luckily, Phan has a plan.

“We start with the Carrot Cake, top it off with the Hummingbird,” she says. “In life you need a good foundation and I think Carrot Cake is a great foundation.”
