One Nordstrom product has customers scratching their heads.

With holiday season here, Nordstrom is offering what it calls a “Leather Wrapped Stone” for $85 – much to the confusion of the Internet.

“Ummm it’s just a rock? In a pouch? Is it from somewhere special at least … ie the moon…. somewhere, anywhere?” one person tweeted.

The piece is billed as a Los Angeles-area stone “wrapped in rich, vegetable-tanned American leather.” And its use is up to the buyer.

“A paperweight? A conversation piece? A work of art? … [it] is sure to draw attention wherever it rests,” the description reads.

And draw attention it has.

Many Internet users took to the review section of the stone – which also comes in a smaller size for $65 – to jokingly rate the item.

“Have to say that this is truly a beautiful product, but I had to send it back because there aren’t any doggone instructions,” one person quipped.

“I don’t even know how to turn the flippin thing on.”

Another reviewer wrote: “This is the perfect holster for your slappin’ stone. Even comes with a backup. It’s a little pricey but the sales lady told me the rock was made by hand. That’s got to be difficult.”

Although Nordstrom has not publicly commented on the attention of the stone, officials have removed many of the joking reviews, leaving only four total as of Tuesday.

In one of the remaining reviews, one Internet user called the stone “A Must Have.”

“Don’t get caught unprotected if you run into Goliath,” the person wrote. “Also great for impromptu stonings of local witches. Don’t get caught unprepared.”
