Lifestyle Home RHOBH Newcomer Dorit Kemsley Shows Off Her California Home (Including the Present She Got from Billy Joel!) By Megan Stein Updated on December 2, 2016 12:00 PM Share Tweet Pin Email There’s a new housewife on the block! Dorit Kemsley is joining the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast, and with her previous ties to Lisa Vanderpump and close friendship with Boy George, she’s sure to make a memorable addition. But before the season unfolds, Kemsley shared inside her digs that include a cozy theater, generously sized master bath and a playroom with “every game you could possibly imagine” to name a few. Her first stop on the tour, though, is a casual viewing of a large-scale gift from a musical legend. Take a Twirl Around RHOA’s Kenya Moore’s Much-Anticipated Mansion, Moore Manor “Yes, Billy Joel did sing at my husband’s 40th, and yes, he did give him the piano at the end of the night,” she says of the proudly displayed (and autographed!) instrument. Next she shows off a room that’s, “even better,” than the Great Room: the theater she “designed head to toe myself,” complete with plenty of seating for her, her husband Paul Kemsley, and their two children Jagger, 2, and Phoenix, 9 months. Her master bedroom is “where the magic happens,” but it’s not all play. “This is where I work,” she says of a desk area near the windows. “This is my office. Of course I have it in my bedroom, because this house is a madhouse every single day.” The playroom has “a little bit of chaos and a little bit of color kind of like our lives,” but her favorite kid space is her “little princess’s room.” RHONY‘s Sonja Morgan Has a Hidden Elevator in Her Five-Story House A mural reading, “A girl should be two things: Classy and fabulous,” is the first sign that this is a girls-only space, but she still incorporated one boy-friendly item. “Her crib was my son’s crib, and I just painted it. I was very sentimental towards it.” The best spot in the house, though, sits quietly in the nursery’s corner. “Any mommy that nurses or feeds her baby knows a nice nursing chair is so key,” Kemsley states. And once the footrest is up, everyone else is out. “It’s time to go, I need to take a little rest,” she says before signing off. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns Tuesday December 6 at 9:00 p.m. EST on Bravo.
