Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are flipping their design show into a game show.

On the second episode of their series, Nate and Jeremiah By Design, Berkus and Brent pose a very tricky challenge to their couple in need: each has five minutes to find a piece of décor that best captures their style.

Homeowners Kelly and Jason are overwhelmed by the choices, though for different reasons. Jason is distracted by the store’s offerings of, “so much weirdness,” while Kelly exclaims, “I don’t know where to begin, there’s so many things here!”

The two continue to scramble, with Kelly left wondering if she needs to “rethink this” after realizing her ideal pick can’t be moved to where Nate and Jeremiah eagerly await. After a few minutes of wandering, a light bulb goes off for Jason as he realizes he knows “exactly where to go.”

Although he bends the rules and brings two objects forward, Berkus and Brent are still impressed by Jason’s nautical selections.

“I’ll accept a cheater,” Berkus jokes. “There’s no one right way to do this.”

A “really beautiful Moroccan-looking rug” that captured Kelly’s eye when they first entered the store serves as her decorating spirit animal, giving the interior designers a better grasp on the homeowner’s tastes.

“Now we have an idea of what you guys are both attracted to and what you’re drawn to,” Brent says. “We’ll take that and hit the ground running.”
