Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are ready to trade spaces!

The Nate and Jeremiah By Design stars, who just welcomed their second baby, son Oskar Michael, will appear in a crossover episode of TLC’s Trading Spaces reboot.

The married designers stopped by People Now ahead of their show’s second season and Trading Spaces’ long-awaited comeback, both debuting Saturday, April 7.

In a special episode coming later this season, Berkus and Brent will sub in as the show’s competing designers, helping two sets of neighbors redecorate a room in one another’s home in just two days and with a budget of $2,000.

“It was kind of surreal, because I grew up watching the show,” says Brent, 33. “So to be back and have that same energy . . . It’s just fun.”

He notes that “everything you seen on that show, it’s so true,” adding that yes, “they’re really strict with the budget.”

Berkus, 46, admits he was a little less keen to follow the show’s restrictive rules. On the morning of their trade, he says, “I basically drove to set — while Jeremiah had his perfect plan — thinking how I could cheat. I was like, there’s got to be a loophole.”
