Melissa Rivers Lists Longtime Pacific Palisades Home for $6 Million: See Inside
Melissa Rivers Is Moving!
Melissa Rivers is letting go of her longtime home. The daughter of Joan Rivers, who died nearly four years ago and would have celebrated her 85th birthday this week, has listed her Pacific Palisades property for $6.195 million with Laura Brau of Pacific Union International, after owning it for about two decades, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The 6-bed, 6-bath estate boasts traditional design elements throughout, but still includes the best of the West Coast lifestyle. In this living room, an expansive stone fireplace, crown molding and French doors leading to the backyard add old-school charm.
A powder room covered in statement red wallpaper is a feature Rivers’ Fashion Police star mother would have undoubtedly been drawn to.
The kitchen opens up to a sitting room and a casual eat-in space. The entertaining hub has an expansive blue-painted island, white cabinets and statement pendant light fixtures.
This charming nook is made for enjoying coffee — or wine, as the grape-covered chandelier might suggest — and overlooking the stunning views outside.
The Master of Masters
The top-floor master suite is nothing short of stunning, thanks to its abundant natural light, marble fireplace and terrace overlooking the ocean. Three additional bedrooms sit on the main level, while a private 2-bed, 2-bath in-law suite can be found on the lower level.
The master bathroom gives its adjoining sleeping space a run for its money: a daybed, walk-in shower, bath tub and double vanity make for an ultra-sleek retreat.
Rivers made a major style statement in this hangout with patterned coverings on the walls and ceiling, as well as animal print stools and geometric furniture.
The backyard is surrounded by hedges and greenery for privacy, and also includes a patio, pool, spa and a lush lawn.
