Luis D. Ortiz Leaves Million Dollar Listing: New York: 'I Chose Happiness'
The broker has decided to move on from real estate
Luis D. Ortiz is ready to move on from real estate, the Million Dollar Listing: New York star announced on last night's finale.
After four seasons on the show, Ortiz, 29, has decided to pursue other opportunities that will allow the TV personality to enjoy more of his downtime, and deal with less stress from selling outrageously expensive properties. "It wasn't making me happy," he explained.
"It was a hard decision to make because then you say you have built a career that is a allowing you to do so well or you're doing so well, but yet doesn't make you happy," Ortiz told The Daily Dish. "So the decision has to be which one do I choose? So I chose happiness."

As for costars Ryan Serhant, 32, and Fredrik Eklund, 39, Ortiz says he'll always think of the Bravo brokers fondly.
"Both of them are always going to have a special place in my heart. I give them both keys to two separate penthouses in my heart, south-facing [with] floor-to-ceiling windows," he said.
Although his time MDNLY has come to a close, Ortiz hopes that his future still includes the screen.
"I always wanted to be behind the cameras," he said. "So I want to explore it, but not as an actor."
"I don't even know how this is all going to play out," Ortiz told PEOPLE in June, when asked about what to expect from the finale. "I'm nervous, let's put it that way."
Ortiz jetted off on a European vacation to celebrate Serhant's marriage to Emilia Bechrakis, but he has taken to Instagram to share a few pre- and post-finale thoughts.
Wishing all the best to Ortiz in the future — career, and otherwise.
As he told PEOPLE, "I'm still 100 percent single." And now with more time to mingle!
