Angelique Cabral is ready for baby!
The Life in Pieces star gave PEOPLE an exclusive peek inside the California home she shares with husband Jason Osborn and their pup Oscar as the couple prepares to welcome their first child.
“We looked for houses for about two years,” Cabral, 38, tells PEOPLE while giving a tour of the couple’s bright bungalow. “We were very specific that we wanted a yard, we wanted privacy and we wanted a cozy feel.
“When we first saw it, we were like, ‘Eh.’ But once we came in, we were like, ‘This is magic!’ But we had to definitely do some work,” she continues of herself and Osborn, who brought in interior designer Carly Waters of Carly Waters Style to help them bring their vision to life.
One of the items the spouses of almost four years had to focus on sprucing up was the river rock-covered fireplace and the termite-infested mantel. Luckily, beneath the outdated exterior was the “beautiful brick” finish she showcases now.
Another addition to the light-bathed, largely white living room was tons of photos of loved ones. “I like to keep my family close because none of our family lives [in town],” Cabral explains, showing off a special side-by-side framed piece of herself and her grandmother riding bikes in the same spot, years apart.
The photo is extra special to Cabral, as her now-husband gifted it to her 14 years ago, on the first birthday she celebrated alongside him. “I’m getting teary,” she admits as she recalls the sweet gesture.

The actress says she and her husband lived in the house for four months during the kitchen renovation, which included all new floors, cabinets and an island in the open-concept space.
“My husband is the chef of the house. I’m very good at entertaining,” Cabral explains, joking of the stove, “There’s more knobs than there are burners, which confuses me.”
One of the Enlisted alum’s favorite parts of her home is the back patio, which features a white-cushioned sectional, lots of pillows and an “indoor-outdoor California vibe where you can eat outside.”
“I come out here every morning, and it’s just this little oasis,” the mom-to-be explains.
