Following her split from former Bachelor Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell relocated from the Colorado home the two shared to her new “bachelorette pad” in Los Angeles. “I wanted it to be really girly,” Bushnell said in a recent Facebook Live hosted by online design service, Decorist. “I wanted everything simple and clean and airy.”

In her bedroom, a statement wallpaper by Samantha Santana captures the “California glam” vibe she was hoping for. Decorist design director Jessica McCarthy added neutral touches on the furniture and accents to ensure the space didn’t look too busy.

“I wanted very serene and peaceful and girly,” said Bushnell of her inspiration for the master suite. The dark night tables and blush accents check each of her decorating boxes.

The living room takes on a more energetic aesthetic, with another bold wall covering, a pastel couch from Bed, Bath & Beyond and a gold floor lamp taking center stage. “I love that we found a pink couch,” she said. “I love it. I think it makes the space. It’s really the focal point.”

But what really brings the gathering space together are the details. “Obviously the wallpaper is amazing,” she said. “And then, of course, the neon sign," which reads "California Dreamin."

Thanks to the ample seating and media center, her space is now ready to host her California-based friends, like fellow Bachelor contestants Haley and Emily Ferguson, who also relocated to L.A., as well as her new boyfriend, Devin Antin.

The woven dining chairs are perhaps Bushnell and McCarthy’s favorite pieces. “They have so much amazing texture, so much personality,” said the designer. Bushnell added, “And they’re really comfy!”
