WATCH: Ladies of London's Caroline Stanbury Talks Moving to Dubai and Launching Her Furniture Collection
The Bravo star opens up to PEOPLE Now
Goodbye, London. Hello Dubai!
On the new season of Ladies of London, Caroline Stanbury prepares to move from her home in England to Dubai. In real time, however, she’s been living in the United Arab Emirates city for months and has a bit more of an understanding on how the two cities compare.
“I mean it’s hot,” Stanbury tells PEOPLE Now of her new digs. “It’s really beautiful. It’s not what people think. I am not shrouded in black. I’m in my hot pants by my pool in the sun. It’s pretty good.”
The 40-year-old reality star admits that while she misses, “my girlfriends sometimes,” her three kids and “nonstop guests” keep her too busy to think about life back in London.
“I have not had one week where I haven’t had someone staying with me, so actually Casa Caroline is going to have to close its doors at some point,” she says.
Before moving into the home, which she bought sight unseen (“My husband picked it!” she wrote in a post on her website) Stanbury teamed up with her close friend Bianca, the founder of design house Earlcrown to help prepare the place.
Despite giving up some control on the design, she knew exactly how she wanted the house to feel. The vibe? Laid-back L.A. without “ANY formal rooms.”
The process also inspired Stanbury’s next business venture: her own home décor line for Earlcrown.
“I went into it because I’ve always enjoyed design, my mother did interior design when I was younger and it was just a natural progression,” she tells PEOPLE Now. “We came up with this mid-range line and it’s really exciting.”
But, of course, Stanbury and her Bravo costar Juliet Angus, can’t get away without being asked to describe the rest of the season in one word which, for Stanbury, is “Rollercoaster.”
Ladies of London airs Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. EST on Bravo.
