Kourtney Kardashian’s secret to flawless holiday decorating? IKEA!

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and mom of three opened up about decking the halls of her house in a new post on her app. And when it comes to trimming her sons, Mason, 8, and Reign, 3, and 5-year-old daughter Penelope’s personal trees, she revealed that she turns to the inexpensive home goods giant for help.

“I use faux shearling tree skirts under all the trees in the house,” she says. “For the kids trees, we layer a few IKEA shearling rugs for the same effect to hide the stands.”

Because Christmas is “one of my favorite holidays,” Kardashian says she doesn’t hold back on the good cheer. In addition to her children’s individual evergreens, she also displays two trees in her entryway, one in the living room and another in her bedroom.

One family heirloom that is of particular sentimental value, though, is custom-made creation from none other than mom, Kris. “I grew up with this Christmas-themed doll house that my mom made,” she says. “She did all the tiny carpets, wallpaper, furnished it and had it wired for electricity so the lights in all the rooms work. The kids LOVE it!”

But like her hyper-organized sister Khloe, Kourtney is all about keeping the chaos to a minimum. “To keep all the decorations organized, we use boxes with built-in dividers, labeled on the outside, so it’s easy to unpack each year,” she says.

Another trick she’s trying — which little sister and mom-to-be Kylie Jenner has also employed on her pale pink centerpiece — takes a “bigger is better” approach.

“Giant gold ornaments look cool in the big trees—or clustered around the bottom with presents,” she says.
