Katherine Heigl is swapping snow for sunshine!

The Grey’s Anatomy vet left her ranch in Utah behind for a few days and jetted off to Mexico with her husband, Josh Kelley, and their children Naleigh, 9, Adalaide, 5, and Joshua, 1, and her 15-year-old niece, Madison, who lives with them full time.

“First family vacation in two years…man am I grateful to be here!” she said in a slideshow she posted on Instagram. “#Thoseheavenlydays are sun soaked ocean views enjoyed with friends and family!”

Heigl and Kelley adopted Naleigh from South Korea in September 2009 when she was 9 months old. Adelaide was adopted domestically and joined the family in 2012. Heigl announced her pregnancy with Joshua in June 2016, and the couple welcomed him in December of that year.

“I still want more children,” she told PEOPLE after his birth. “I’d get pregnant again, and I still am very inspired by adoption. I also have been thinking a lot about fostering.”
