JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers Invite PEOPLE Inside Their New Dallas Home
JoJo and Jordan's Dallas Love Nest
Since getting engaged in August, JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers have been enjoying "getting to date eachother" out of the spotlight, the former Bachelorette contestant tells PEOPLE. And what better place to do it than at their adorable — and newly decorated — Dallas home?
Starting from Scratch
The couple, who moved in together just two weeks after the show's finale, admit they overlooked one big factor: They had no furniture and lived in a nearly empty space for three months. “We had this idea that we’d have movie nights snuggled up on the couch,” says Fletcher with a laugh. “But for a while, we just sat on the floor!”
The Rules of Retro
When they did get around to decorating, the pair called on the design pros at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams to help them achieve what Fletcher describes as a "comfortable retro rustic" style.
Comfort Is Key
Though Fletcher says her fiancé was "very easygoing" throughout the design process, Rodgers did have one must-have: “I wanted comfort,” he says. “If we had a comfortable couch, I was going to be happy with anything else!”
Jordan's Show Stopper
His favorite piece in the finished home, however, is not for lounging. “The wooden table is my favorite,” says Rodgers of the couple’s Tremont console table, which is made out of tree root. “There’s a lot of fur and velvet, but it’s complemented by wooden and rustic [touches].”
Dining in Style
“Their style definitely has a young modern feel to it,” says designer Mitchell Gold. “They wanted the house to be comfortable — they didn’t want a place that was too formal or uptight, but they also didn’t want it to feel like a mancave," adds partner Bob Williams.
No His and Hers
The cozy master bedroom's tall, tufted headboard and gold accents lend the space a luxe vibe without being overly girly. “It’s unbelievable,” says Fletcher. “We found a good balance of our styles.”
