Lifestyle Home Jennie Garth Shares Her Plans for a Cozy Christmas and the Reason She Still Loves Tinsel By Megan Stein Updated on November 5, 2021 07:41 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Brian Ach/Getty The gift at the top of Jennie Garth's wish list isn't quite as glamorous as one might suspect. "A new vacuum," the 90210 alum tells PEOPLE of what she's hoping to unwrap this Christmas. "It's really exciting." Garth is all about comfort for the holidays, with her plans for celebrating the season including "quiet and cozy" time with her kids and husband, Dave Abrams, 35, at home, hopefully enjoying her favorite Christmas movie (see what it is on @peoplehome's Instagram story!). "Traveling for the holidays is not my thing, I think it's too much work," she says. And the gifting tradition she shares with daughters Luca, 19, Lola, 14, and Fiona, 10, is sweet to say the least. "We bake and make candy and everybody's involved," Garth says. "We like to give gifts that are homemade like that." Mike Coppola/Getty Besides tasty treats and cleaning machines, Garth has a few other gifting ideas up her sleeve this holiday season. Namely, a pop-up event space she designed along with Stacy London and Daphne Oz for The Dining Room at Marie Callender's in New York. Kylie Jenner's Enormous Christmas Tree Barely Fit in Her House "I love style and design and home renovation," she says of what inspired her to take on the project, all proceeds of which are donated to Habitat for Humanity NYC. "Having the opportunity to do the dining room is kind of like the best of both worlds." Garth's dining room comes complete with pretty metallic details, elaborate centerpieces and bursts of purple, but there is one thing that's notably missing from the space: her favorite holiday decoration. "Tinsel," she says. "It's so tacky, yet so beautiful."
