Makeup Mogul Jeffree Star Gives a Tour of His New Massive 'Dream Home Castle'
"On a real level, 6 years ago I had $500 to my name," Jeffree Star shares in a video on his YouTube channel
Jeffree Star has moved into his very own castle!
On Wednesday, Star, 34, kicked off the new year by giving a tour of his massive new compound — which he calls “dream home castle” — in a video shared on his YouTube channel.
However, before showing fans around, Star takes a moment to reflect on just how far he’s come.
“I woke up this morning, I sobbed,” Star says. “I cried happy tears this morning it has been such a crazy journey getting here and I think sometimes people only see the success or the rewards. On a real level, 6 years ago I had $500 to my name.”
“I had tax debt, I had the worst crazy experiences that one day I will share,” Star continues, before proudly boasting his many accolades.
“I’m proud that I’m self-made. I’m proud that I’ve gotten this far on my own. When I quit music, I literally had about $400 plus left. It was me, Diva and Diamond in my apartment,” Star says of his dogs.
“I had dreams of starting a makeup line and no one would believe in me, in the beginning, to help me start it, it was discouraging.”
Despite this, Star explains — “I never gave up on myself.”
“I never gave up on my dream. No dream is ever too big. I am self-made. I taught myself how to be CEO of a cosmetics company and now we are one of the top 10 brands in America like what the f—.”
Star launched Jeffree Star Cosmetics in 2014. The worldwide makeup brand is now worth $75 million.
“2019 has been a blessing,” Star continues, sharing that he and boyfriend Nathan Schwandt hadn’t planned on moving but were forced to after outgrowing their “Barbie” house.
“I had no room to put anything,” Star says. “With two dogs passing this year, we were ready for a change. When I saw this place online, my head was like ‘Oh my God this is a dream.'”
Making the tour all the more exciting, Star had his best friend and fellow YouTuber Shane Dawson come over to view the mansion for the first time.
“Oh my god,” Dawson screams as he pulls up to the home. “I think your house is too big — I think you might have some room,” Dawson jokes.
Star meets Dawson in the driveway of his home and shares he bought the property for his family. He explains he doesn’t know how much time his mom has left, saying “I want to spend every moment I can with her.”
Star then takes Dawson and the cameras to an insanely large drive-down parking garage.
The makeup mogul then brings Dawson inside through the front door and they are met with a lavish imperial staircase.
“How do you pick which staircase to go to,” Dawson jokes.
Dawson then notices a secret door, which Star reveals is a wine cellar that “you can get to three different ways.”
Star then shows off his luxurious dining room, which he says he’ll use “to eat Taco Bell.”
Next, he takes Dawson into the kitchen, which features two islands, before showing off a massive room, which his dogs Drama, Diva, Delicious and Da Vinci will call home. Star’s dogs Daddy and Diamond died earlier this year.
Star then takes Dawson up the elevator to the third floor of his home where the theatre is. The room features a star ceiling and each seat is adorned with a Louis Vuitton blanket.
Star later shows off a games room filled with arcade stations and a bathroom that boasts a claw foot tub and a pink stoned wall.
He then takes Dawson into his and Schwandt’s master bedroom, which includes a shower that can fit 10 people.
The home also boasts a sauna and backyard overlooking the mountains.
Star concludes the tour with the backyard and reveals he plans to redo the swimming pool to be “baby pink.”
“It’s been a dream since I was little,” Star adds.
Star first shared a glimpse of his new home on Christmas, sharing “The Star Family is getting settled into our new home and I can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with my entire family all under one roof.”
