Ellen Pompeo is letting go of her beloved “modern barn” at the beach.

The Grey’s Anatomy star has listed her Hamptons getaway for $3.975 million with Jane Babcook and Mark J. Baron of Brown Harris Stevens.

Pompeo and her husband, music producer Chris Ivery, purchased the property in 2011 (paying a reported $925,000, according to Variety). The actress, 38, was pregnant with eldest daughter Stella at the time and had grand visions of a family beach compound, she told, where the home was published in July 2017.

Her intention was to renovate the existing house into guest accommodations and build her own larger abode next door. But the game plan quickly changed when she fell for and purchased another property on the West Coast and shifted her creatives efforts there.

“A house in Malibu that I had fallen in love with became available, so I abandoned the original plan,” the actress, who has called herself “a straight-up homebody,” tells AD.

As an alternative, she overhauled the existing house for herself and her family, including children Stella, 8, Sienna, 3, and Eli, 1.

The four-bedroom, four-bath residence, which sits on 8.3 hilly acres near the village of Sag Harbor, boasts two fireplaces, a heated gunite pool and a dark exterior atypical of the summer destination.

“It’s decorated in a way that’s a fresh look compared to those Hamptons places that all look like they’re owned by 60-year-old billionaires, with the shingles and the light columns,” she says. “They all put me to sleep.”

Instead, the modern home stands out from the neighborhood with contemporary interiors, a double-height living room and a distinctive style all her own.
