Furniture shopping can test the patience of any family — just ask the Cyruses!

Tish and Brandi Cyrus reveal that the worst clash the mother-daughter duo had on the set of their Bravo series Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer was over a controversial flea market find. The disagreement was so heated, Brandi tells PEOPLE, “They wouldn’t even put it in [the show].”

“I picked out a ladder to hang blankets on in this home because they like vintage pieces,” Brandi recalls. “And it wasn’t even a gross ladder, it was a nicely restored ladder. She refused to put it in her brand-new car.”

Tish has a slightly different take on the dramatic moment. “It was the end of the day, and I was so tired,” says the mom of 5, admitting that, “I did have a mini meltdown.”

This won’t be the only time Miley Cyrus’ mom and sister go head-to-head on their new six-episode series. Tish and Brandi compete on each episode to try and win over potential clients. (The Cyrus whose design plan is chosen gets the other as an assistant for the whole makeover.)
