Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt's Stunning Homes Around the World
Amid news of their divorce, taking stock of the couple's real estate empire
Inside Brad and Angelina's Real Estate Resume
PEOPLE confirmed on Monday morning that Angelina Jolie Pitt has filed for divorce from her husband of two years, Brad Pitt. While the world comes to grips with their separation, we can't help but wonder what will become of all the gorgeous homes the jetsetters have collected around the world. In these dark times, we're revisiting Brad and Angelina's homes past and present, including the stunning Chateau Miraval (pictured here), a villa in the French countryside. The couple have called the property home since 2008 and got married there in 2014.
New Orleans Mansion
Brad and Angelina recently listed their 1830s home located in New Orleans' French Quarter for $6.5 million. The historic property features five bedrooms and 3.5 baths as well as an elevator and a separate guest house. A rep for the couple told PEOPLE that they intended to find another property in the city, where Brad is deeply involved in the charitable organization Make it Right, but are looking for something "more off the beaten path." Though they will be giving up the opportunity for neighborly banter with Matthew McConaughhey, who lives across the street.
Los Angeles Compound
The couple's sprawling 5,300-square-foot home in L.A.'s Los Feliz neighborhood includes a five-bedroom main residence as well as several outbuildings. Pitt purchased the property way back in 1994 (before his marriage to Jennifer Aniston) for a meager-by-Hollywood-standards $1.7 million. Aerial views of the compound, which has reportedly been expanded to incorporate surrounding properties throughout the years, show beautifully landscaped grounds and a swimming pool for the couple's six children.
Waldorf Astoria Apartment
In 2007, the couple aquired an apartment in the Waldorf Astoria Towers, adjacent to the famed hotel, in New York City, according to ABC News, which suggested the central Manhattan location and notoriously tight security, were major factors.
Brad scooped up this modernist home in Malibu back in 2005 for $8.4 million, around the time he separated from Jennifer Aniston and began dating Jolie, according to Variety. PEOPLE confirmed he has since sold the home to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi for $12 million, who in turn sold it again just seven months later.
