Inside The Bachelor Alum Amanda Stanton's Beachy Dining Room Makeover
Amanda Stanton's Girl's-Only Dining Room
After moving into a new home with daughters Charlie and Kinsley, Amanda Stanton, who rose to fame on Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor, needed a kid-friendly but stylish eating area. With a little help from decorating site Lulu & Georgia, the 27-year-old was able to “channel all the knowledge I picked up from watching HGTV" to create a relaxing retreat fit for her young family, she writes on her blog.
A crisp white color scheme complemented by California-inspired prints and beachy furniture — “I’m so into the rattan trend!” — create the feminine, boho-chic look Stanton was aiming for. “An all-girl house meant nothing but girly-girl elements, too!” she says.
Fun and Functional
“Practicality was the main concern,” when it came to choosing the main pieces of furniture. An easy-clean table and rug both serve up style without compromising function.
Stanton experimented with less expensive accent pieces to bring in a pop of personality on a smaller scale. “This vase was so unique and I loved how fun these polka-dot gold cups and pitcher were,” she says.
“Natural light is very important to me,” she tells Lulu & Georgia, adding that now, “I love how bright my home is. And the pops of color and fun prints put me in a good mood.”
