PHOTOS: Inside Audrina Patridge's Laid-Back Living and Dining Room Makeover
Having successfully transformed her bedroom from essentially empty to chic and sweet with help from the interiors pros behind Decorist, Audrina Patridge decided to once again team up with the site's head of design, Ashley Redmond, to spruce up her bland living and dining spaces. “I really wanted my new home to feel like a vacation in a Bali bungalow,” the Hills vet tells PEOPLE of her creative vision.
“Audrina was looking for a comfortable and functional space with a Balinese-boho vibe," Redmond says of their design game plan. The beachy destination is one of Patridge and fiance Corey Bohan’s favorite travel destinations, so channeling its boho feel made perfect sense for their redesigned living space.
Cozy and Comfortable
Mod accent pieces from Minted, Living Spaces, ATG Stores, Selamat Designs and more, elevate the living area, while cozy furnishings keep things comfortable for Patridge and Bohan’s new baby girl, Kirra. “I love the light and airy boho-beach feel for entertaining, but ever since having Kirra, comfort and function have also been really important for me," she says.
Bright and Beautiful
Redmond's knack for combining old and new helped pull the open, airy look together. "She has a really great eye and was able to bring my vision to life by pulling new pieces and incorporating them with those I already owned," Patridge says.
Mix and Match
A white sofa grounds Patridge’s new living setup and collection of colorful throw pillows allow the reality star to easily change up the look whenever the mood strikes. Redmond also points out that "bringing in tropical inspired artwork and most importantly opening up the flow of the room by changing the positioning of the sectional," helped create a space that works hard and looks great.
Patridge and Bohan both love entertaining, so an open floor plan that flows seamlessly into the dining area was a must-have for the couple. "I love how reflective this room is of Audrina’s lifestyle and personality," Redmond says. "It's functional but feels glamorous and traveled, and I know it's a place she can relax with Corey and Kirra."
