Tess Holliday Calls Out Models Who Complain About the Term 'Plus-Size'
Tess Holliday has no problem with the term “plus-size,” and thinks if any model does, then he or she probably shouldn’t be modeling for plus-size brands.
“Find it interesting that plus-size models don’t want to be called ‘plus-size,’ but don’t mind taking a check from a plus-size company,” the size-22 model, 30, tweeted on Sunday.
“There are plenty of models that are visibly plus size and would happily be the face of a brand, or company,” she continued in a second tweet. “No shame with being plus.”

After seeing that her tweets sparked some outrage, Holliday followed up with another tweet clarifying her point of view on Wednesday.
“Didn’t mean to make this a big deal but *shrug* it’s a descriptor,” she posted. “It’s like getting mad for being called short.”
