It takes gold-medal bodies to win big at the Olympics, and the U.S. women’s gymnastics team is at the top of their game.

Fresh off her epic Rio games performance where she picked up four gold medals and a bronze, Simone Biles says she and her fellow gymnasts are in amazing shape.

“We have the best bodies right now, it’s unreal!” Biles, 19, said on Access Hollywood Monday.

Co-host Kit Hoover agreed, saying the Final Five looked amazing in a photo Biles posted on Snapchat after they finished competing.

“When they finally got to hit the beaches of Rio, that is what they looked like! Strong bodies, which we love!”

Co-host Natalie Morales agreed, adding, “You just see the muscle and definition.”

After the uproar at their ripped bodies, Aly Raisman clarified that it takes years of hard work to get their abs.

“Okay, I have to say something. It’s not something that happens overnight. We’ve been training for years and years and years,” Raisman, 22, who took home two silver medals of her own along with the team gold, told PEOPLE.

“So it’s not something – it just happens,” she says. “We work super hard, but I think it’s also important to say, that we just ate pizza, it’s all in moderation. Of course we eat very healthy, but it’s all about having that healthy balance if you want to splurge.”

Her teammates all agreed, with Gabby Douglas and Laurie Hernandez adding that their abs don’t stick around for too long – while they have envy-inducing bodies now, just a few weeks after competing, they do go away.

“Two days! It goes!” Douglas, 20, said of their abs.

“I wake up and they’re gone!” Hernandez, 16, added. “You’re in top shape for just a couple weeks at a time. You don’t just stay super, super healthy like you would for the Olympics.”

The gymnasts continued celebrating their Olympic experience at the VMAs Sunday night, where Biles, Raisman, Hernandez and Madison Kocian – missing just Douglas, who was hospitalized for a “seriously infected” mouth injury – presented Beyoncé with the award for Best Female Video.
