Me Before You star Sam Claflin shared that a photo of him looking extremely fit is actually photoshopped, and isn't his real body

Sam Claflin is speaking out about misleading photoshopping that makes him look good — a little bit too good.

The Me Before You star posted the photo, which puts his face on a ripped body with six-pack abs, on Instagram.

“This picture has been following me around for some years, and well, there are many people I want to thank for it,” Claflin, 30, starts. “Firstly, the person who dedicated a lot of time and hard work training and sculpting their body to within an inch of its life … Secondly, the person who dedicated a lot of time and effort into resizing and reshaping my face so it fits on that body.”

“And lastly, to everyone who actually believed (if even for a second) that this could be me. Wow. Bless you. Like, really, really thank you. I’m flattered.”

Claflin, who has bulked up and stripped down for roles in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and his star turn as Will in Me Before You, added that even then, he never looked quite this good.

“But it isn’t me. It never was me,” he says. “Don’t get me wrong, I have worked out before, and I really like it when I do, but to THIS extent? Not something I’ve done yet. Maybe one day, eh?”

The new father to an almost 1-year-old son says he actually has a “#dadbod.”

“Right now, I’m enjoying my work, and being a Dad for the first time, and it’s getting way too close to Christmas for me to spend any free time I DO have in the gym,” he adds. “But bless you.”
