Teresa Giudice found her Zen during her 11-month stint in prison, and she’s been keeping up her yoga habit since her release in December.

“Yoga helped me get through it all,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 44, told Women’s Health of using the exercise to help manage time apart from her family.

Now Giuidice practices yoga five days a week – and has plans to become an instructor.

“I love it so much that I want to get certified in it,” she told the magazine. “I have a few more months to go. I’m just taking my time, because I have four daughters. It’s a lot, but I’m definitely going to complete it.”

Giudice says doing downward dogs and warrior poses has improved her life both mentally and physically.

“I wish I would have done this years ago,” she says. “I’ve never been flexible before, and now I’m really becoming more flexible, which I love.”

While she’s a total yogi these days, Giudice admits she had reservations before trying it out.

“At first, I was like, ‘I’m not doing this,’ ” but now she enjoys the fact that being in a yoga studio is a judgment-free zone. “You go and do what makes you feel good. It doesn’t matter what the person next to you is doing or what the other person on the other side of you is doing. You do what you want to do at your pace.”
