Oprah Winfrey wants you to know that eating on Weight Watchers doesn’t mean monotonous dieting.

In fact, Oprah doesn’t “think of it as a diet” – it’s a lifestyle change. In another hour-long private Q&A session with fellow Weight Watchers members, the 62-year-old mogul shared her tips and tricks when it comes to counting points and eating well.

“Seafood is your friend!” she said, explaining that her go-to fish meals include cod and her favorite, barramundi. “Sea bass and salmon have more points.”

And she loves jicama too. “It gives a nice crunch,” she agreed with a caller. And she’s left some of her old vices behind, joking that now, “I can live in the world, if I never have goat cheese soufflé again.”

In addition, the talk show queen gives some of her greasy foods a healthy remix. If she’s eating noodles, Oprah incorporates some spaghetti squash to lighten it up, or she’s having her beloved potatoes she’ll combine the carbohydrate with the more nutritious cauliflower.

One thing she’s “tricking herself” into doing is drinking more water. “I don’t like water,” she confessed adding, “I trick myself into drinking ginger-vanilla infused water.”

Oprah – who is a Weight Watchers spokesperson and has a 10 percent stake in the company – uses the Beyond The Scale program, and revealed in January that she’s down 26 lbs. since maintaining her eating choices. And she’s not alone: BFF Gayle King has also dropped around 25 lbs. on the program.

As her relationship with food evolves, Oprah revealed that her mentality has also changed for the better. “It’s not about the number,” she said about not having a goal weight. “It’s the switch in my head that’s forever.”

And not only is her food game on the right path, but her head game is also as strong as ever. “I learned to be fully present,” Oprah shared. “I think about what is the right next step, one breath at a time.”

But like many Weight Watchers followers, Oprah said she can still be tempted by a bowl of chips. “I literally take a deep breath to remind myself I am here right now. I remind myself so it does not overwhelm me.”
