June McCamey Feels Imprisoned in Her Body on My 600-lb Life: 'I'm Living in a Nightmare'
Every day, June McCamey wonders when her body is just going to give up.
“I don’t know how much more weight I can actually put on my knees,” she says in this exclusive clip from Wednesday’s episode of My 600-Lb Life. “I don’t think they’re going to last.”
“I’m living in a nightmare. I feel imprisoned into my body.”
At nearly 600 lbs., McCamey, 44, is no longer able to leave her home in League City, Texas.
“I have three seats. The bed. The bathroom toilet, and my chair,” she says. “My world is confined. I feel suffocated.
“I feel like I’m going from a bed coffin to a chair coffin.”
To do something as simple as taking a shower, McCamey has to rely on her girlfriend, Sadi Gregory.
“Sadi does everything for me,” McCamey explains. “To have someone bathe me, is so embarrassing.”
“The person inside of her is not the person you see on the outside,” Gregory, 38, says. “It’s like the real her is imprisioned inside the body she’s in.”

McCamey grew up eating her grandmother’s home cooking, and always saw herself as “thick and beautiful.” But going through four pregnancies without losing any of the weight helped McCamey quickly soar to 400 lbs.
The real breaking point, though, was the death of her son four years ago. McCamey became addicted to food, and her weight spiraled upwards as she ate for comfort.
McCamey’s best hope now, to save her relationship and her life, is gastric bypass surgery.
“The weight is too much,” she says. “My body is definitely overwhelmed.”
My 600-lb Life airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c on TLC.
