Turn Your Gilmore Girls Binge-Watch into an At-Home Workout with These Stars Hollow-Approved Moves
Everyone’s favorite on-screen mother-daughter duo is finally back!
If you’re planning on binge watching every new episode of Gilmore Girls this weekend, turn your Netflix session into a sweat session with these moves you can do at home without any equipment while catching up with Lorelai and Rory.
“It can be fun sometimes to veg out in front of the TV, but too much vegging and not enough moving can sometimes wreak havoc on our waistline,” says Reebok trainer Jamie Eason, who created a Gilmore Girls-themed workout. “Since exercise should be fun, what could be more fun than letting your favorite characters dictate your workout to get you moving?”
Every time you hear the theme song, do 3 alternating heel touches.
Every time Lorelai or Rory order coffee at Luke’s, do 2 hollow rocks.
Every time Rory has a book in her hand, do 3 pendulum kicks.
Every time Yale comes up in conversation, do 3 rowing jump squats.
Every time there is a town hall meeting, do 4 plank thrust jacks.
Every time Kirk has a new job, do 3 side-lying clams.
Every time Emily makes a snide remark, do 2 pike push-ups.
Every time Lane talks about music, do 3 side plank crunches.
Every time Michel is a Debbie downer, do 3 low hold curtsy lunges.
Every time “Oy with the poodles already” is said, do 5 elbows to hand planks.
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is currently streaming on Netflix.
