Lifestyle Health Mom Who Showed Off Stretch Marks in a Bikini Speaks Out for the First Time – See the Video! "People keep saying that I have inspired them, but I am the one who is so amazed," Rachel Hollis tells PEOPLE By Gabrielle Olya Published on March 31, 2015 03:15 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: @msrachelhollis/The Chic Site When Rachel Hollis posted that now-famous bikini photo – stretch marks and all! – she had no idea it would encourage women of all shapes and sizes to do the same. Now the mom-of-three has rounded up the images and comments posted in response to her snapshot and compiled them in a touching video. “I am so inspired by all of these women,” Hollis, 32, tells PEOPLE. “People keep saying I have inspired them, and that’s completely backwards because I am the one who is so impressed and amazed about what everyone is doing.” Watch the video below: Her “momfession” features numerous photos of women bravely showing their bodies in bikinis, along with some of the words of support her original post garnered. “You have no idea of how empowering your words are to someone as myself,” reads one comment. Another one reads: “I do have stretch marks all over my buns, thighs and calves from chemo and steroids as a child.” Another woman wrote, “Seeing this may give me the courage to wear a bikini again. Had my son almost 8 years ago and haven’t shown my stomach since.” Hollis made the video as a way to thank all the people who have been putting their real bodies on display. “I wanted to have a chance to reach out to all these women who are posting photos, and I wanted to read some of the quotes that have been really meaningful and have really touched my heart, because I think that this needs to be celebrated,” she says. “As much as I didn’t intend for this to become a movement, it has, and so I want to celebrate those women who are carrying that torch forward.” For more on Hollis, pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.
