Whitney Port Passover Table

When we caught a glimpse of Whitney Port‘s Passover table on Instagram, we thought, ‘Oooh, spring!’

Is she the host? Is she a guest? Is she merely a passing photographer? It doesn’t really matter: The seder’s pretty peacock plates (a favorite motif of fellow The Hills alum Lauren Conrad!), happy turquoise palette and festive pops of gold beautifully marked the holiday.

Best of all, the homey, unfussy setup looks like something we’ve seen before — at our own holiday dinners. Do the mismatched chairs ring a bell? In other words, the look is totally accessible.

Planning a dinner for 10? In the stylish spirit of the MTV star/designer, we tracked down a few tabletop treats to dine like Port.

Whitney Port Passover Table

Peacock Plates

As they say on Portlandia, “Put a bird on it.” But these porcelain dishes from 222 Fifth Casual Dinnerware are more classic style than hipster trend, with a whimsical flock that gives a pump of pomp. $90 for 4 pieces

Turquoise Plates

Paired with the peacocks, turquoise-rimmed dinner plates add a bright, bold splash. Noritake’s versatile design mixes and matches with just about any peppy spring pattern. $9 and up

Turquoise Goblets

Cheers! A dinner party fueled with Rioja is sure to taste better in colorful eclectic glassware. We dig Port’s cool blue vessels, but similar styles are everywhere, from the above Pottery Barn glasses to these beauties from Anthropologie. $39 for 6

Gold Placemats

It’s just a glimpse of glitz, but a metallic accent is enough to make the table sparkle. Mikasa’s gold placemats are neutral enough to work with almost anything, but still eye-catching. $30 for 4

Gold Flatware

Port’s flatware, a nice complement to the placemats, boasts pretty gilded handles. But we also love the modern lines of this set from Design Within Reach. Forks up — it’s time to eat! $30 for 5-piece setting
