Wendy’s is not backing down on a bacon challenge.

The fast food chain announced a campaign of their own after McDonald’s revealed they’re hosting a bacon happy hour on Tuesday.

Wendy’s is offering a free Baconator and $0 delivery through DoorDash with every $10 purchase when customers use the code FREEBACONATOR at checkout. The free burger offer can only be used once per DoorDash account but free delivery is unlimited through Monday, February 4.

The Baconator features two beef patties, American cheese, six pieces of crispy applewood smoked bacon, ketchup and mayo.

“We’ve always owned bacon and that’s not changing because our competitors are throwing a happy hour to celebrate its importance,” said Kurt Kane, Wendy’s executive vice president, chief concept and marketing officer. “Bacon is at the core of what we do at Wendy’s, and we aren’t afraid to throw down the gauntlet. After all, that’s why we’re the #1 seller of bacon cheeseburgers.”

Last week McDonald’s announced they are hosting a “Bacon Hour,” where customers can add thick cut, applewood smoked bacon to anything they order at no extra cost on January 29.

The promotion will run from 4 to 5 p.m. (local time) in celebration of the restaurant officially adding bacon to three of their classics. The Big Mac Bacon, Quarter Pounder Bacon and Cheesy Bacon Fries will all be available January 30.
