A Third of Vegetarians Secretly Eat Meat When They're Drunk, According to New Poll
The secret’s out of the bag.
A new poll conducted by the British website VoucherCodesPro found that a third of vegetarians (roughly 37 percent) secretly eat the flesh of animals — otherwise known as delicious, delicious meat — after having a few too many drinks.
The transgressive snack of choice for the 1,789 vegetarians questioned? Bacon. (This comes as no surprise.) Twenty-seven percent of vegetarians who eat meat when drunk go for the crispy pork, while 19 percent seek out fried chicken and 14 percent crave sausage.
George Charles, founder of the site that conducted the study, says we should all support our vegetarian friends and help them resist their carnal urges.
“I know a few ‘vegetarians’ who sometimes crave meat, but it seems that a few are giving into their cravings when drunk,” Charles told The Independent. “I think it’s important for friends of these ‘vegetarians’ to support them when drunk and urge them not to eat meat as I’m sure they regret it the next day.”
Or we could just encourage our vegetarian friends to always eat tasty meats?
